Meet Your Mr. Appliance
Gary and Terry-Sue Neil
When you think of appliance repair, you may not think of love and family but that is our story.
Terry-Sue and I met as teenagers. We both have mechanical background: her father was a machinist; I was trained as a machinist and later as an aircraft mechanic in the air force.
We planned to get married but life took a different turn and we parted ways. After serving in the military for 20 years, I retired from the Air Force and worked for several years after before I found Terry-Sue again. Some things are just meant to me.
We started GATS Inc., a gas heating and air conditioning company in 2003. Later that year, an appliance company called and asked us to look at one of its high-end computerized ranges. The service company that tried to fix it couldn’t. We did.
Within a year we had several appliance companies call us to see if we would fix their appliances. We soon started the Cumberland County Mr. Appliance. Terry-Sue and I have both raised families so it’s important to us have a company that puts people first.
