For additional information regarding startup costs, and lists of existing franchisees in your area, the Federal Trade Commission has set up guidelines for the delivery of that information, which all franchise companies must provide to their prospects. The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) also provides other vital information critical to properly evaluating any franchise concept.
